Correct.. The further distance away you are the flatter the curve/wrap around should be, which increasingly just turns it into just a flatter widescreen that decreases not only your overall letterbox view (with correct FOV settings entered) but also your wrap around "peripheral vision" view to that if they were up closer as well.

Assetto Corsa Recommendations & Needs / Austeam Racing Server

The Austeam Racing Server uses the following patches / addon's and will be needed if looking to race on them. Our server is available for use to the public most times however is locked on official race events. We also recommend the use of Content Manager to make your experience much better.

The general rules of simulated racing used as a standard upon all platforms are those listed on Steam and apply here. We do use additional racing rules which are applied for the additional side of our race formats.

For those new to paint skins with iRacing, be sure to register a free account with TRADING PAINTS. It has paint skins you can use and allows you to see others skins without needing to share files.

You will need to download and install the software, it is safe.

Welcome & Information Board / Wanting to join our forums or League?

G Day and again welcome, all we do request is that if joining our forums you provide your real name (First and Last, as we all do with iRacing, FaceBook etc), as this will help identify those who make application to join the racing side of the league allowing a much faster process in the end.

To become an Austeam Racing Member®, you will need to also be a resident of Australia / New Zealand, this ensures our server quality remains unaffected by lag/warp etc for others sorry.

If just joining our form boards, great and we welcome users to do so and all you would need to do is registered if looking to say hi, post or ask questions however if looking to race with our league we would need the following provided.

WANTING TO RACE AT AUSTEAM?
If you are looking for an online racing league and wish to join us we do have an application form needing to be completed and ask that you head to our Austeam Main Site and select "Drivers Application" for one of our platforms. Once this form has been completed Admin will make contact with you with the last stage for access to areas around the platform of interest.

Step 1 - Completed the Drivers Application
Step 2 - Once Approved Admin will contact you.
Step 3 - Admin will set you up on this board .

ATR 18+ age limit for members.
For Austeam Racing to provide its members with the best gaming experience and community, we have a policy of only admitting players 18 years and over. We occasionally will admit a player younger than this, if they are the family or close friend of one of our veterans. In this case, the player can be sponsored by the current member who will be responsible for them.

Austeam Racing has had this Policy for some time now and we thought it necessary to formally announce it to save those potential applicants under 18 from applying, only to be disappointed.
